It’s weird. When I first started writing longer works, my characters would usually be based on someone of importance in my life. Whenever I would write that character’s dialogue, I would hear the voice of that significant person speaking the words. But now, the significant people in my life have grown, some have left, and my characters have their own, individual voices.

The inspiration has changed, and so did the story.
